Vader Immortal part 1 is simply excellent and at $10 is the must-buy killer app of the Oculus Quest. If you've ever wanted to be the star of a star wars film then this game is made for you.
You… YES, YOU the person reading this, begin the experience as a smuggler captain with your companion droid at your side. As you man the controls of your ship to escape trouble you get to truly enjoy what it feels like to captain a ship. As you explore your ship your droid begins to regale you with tales of your past adventures and stories behind the numerous artifacts stowed away on board before your ship's sensors detect a large ship closing in on your position.
The lightsaber combat is simply amazing, you are taught how to block, counter, and fight enemies. The lightsaber feels and sounds amazing, my inner 6-year-old was oh so pumped to hear the whirr and buzz sounds as I swag away and prepared for my first lightsaber fight. The lightsaber fighting is fun and exciting.
Though the experience is a bit short, over the 45 minutes to an hour I played there was never a dull moment whether I was fighting stormtroopers, solving puzzles, climbing objects, or standing toe with the Sith Lord and one of the greatest film Villains himself I was absolutely amazed and gripped for every moment.
If you have an Oculus Quest or plan to get one I can't recommend Vader Immortal enough. It was every bit the star wars adventure any fan would love to be a part of.
