I own a VR company and as such, one could say I live, work, play in VR. We have several portable sets, so let’s open the bag, and take a look at the accessories I keep in there
DECENT BAG: If you are portable, then being able to carry your stuff around in one bag is essential. This bag from has a pocket for the laptop, an area for the headset, and a spare large pocket for the accessories.
I.e. everything I need fits into this one bag KEYBOARD & MOUSE: If you do presentations, it’s often nice to be able to remotely control your set-up. I use this remote keyboard and mouse combo.
HDMI connectors: Depending on your set-up, it can be really useful to output to external monitors. Here you’ll see an HDMI extender, female to female HDMI connector, and mini display port to HDMI converter. This last part is essential for me… the headset uses the HDMI port, so I use the mini display port to send the signal to additional screens.
BATTERIES: If you own a WMR (windows mixed reality headset), which is by far the easiest for travel, then you’ll need spare controller batteries.
HOLDER / ORGANIZER: there’s always a few things lose in the bag, yet its nice to keep them collected, and this organizer is crucial to that.
EXTENSION: if you have a WMR, then this is really helpful, as it gives another 8 feet extension to your free roaming abilities.
WET WIPES: If you wear the headset for more than a few minutes, you’ll likely get a little sweaty. This sweat collect on the headset along with any make-up you/guest may wear. Being able to hygenically clean with wipes that don’t degrade the headset is a necessity.
SCREEN WIPE: As you put the headset on and off, you will undoubtedly rub your sweaty forehead on the lenses. Being able to clean without scratching is best done with a proper cloth.
I think that just about covers it, and hope this is helpful.
